Yesterday is Gone

Crying over the past and its tragedies, is nothing but a form of insanity. It discourages spirit, fades out determination, and kills the future. Those who use brain, have put out and forgotten the occurrences of the past, they filed them away and will never see them again. The episodes of the past are finished; sadness can't retrieve them, sorrow can't bring them back, and tears can't wake them up. This is because the past is vanished.

Do not live the life in the nightmares of the former times or under the shadow of yesterdays. Run away from the shadow of the past, and save yourself from the ghostly shadow of the ancient times. Do you think that you can return the sun to its raising place? the baby to its mother's womb? the milk to the udder? or tears to the eye? Constantly dwelling on the past and its happenings, you place yourself in a very frightful tragic state of mind.

Reading too much about the past is a waste of time, it obscures the future, and demoralizes the enthusiasm. Yesterdays are gone and done, with its good and bad, and you benefit nothing by carrying out an autopsy over them. The person who tries to go back to the history is like someone who tries to saw the sawdust, and wake up the death. In fact, one of the biggest tragedy in life is ignoring the future for the sake of the past. It is like neglecting beautiful castles and wailing over the ruins. Indeed, it is impossible that even every man and every creature are to try jointly to bring back the past, they would most certainly fail for everything on earth marches forward - and so should you.

  1. many people are hesitant about the future and always lamenting the past, they lose sight of what will happen will come. the future is something that must be taken and make the past as our learning materials to reach the future, isn't it?

yeah, just like you said, reading too much about the past is a waste of time. WHAT HAPPENED LET HAPPEN!!
